Lauren and Dominic met on the evening of June 26, 2023 at the Chophouse in Warren. They were set up on a blind date by Lauren's family friend/Dominic's cousin Marie as she thought they would be a good match for each other, boy was she right! They spent the evening together having a wonderful meal, getting to know each other, and discovering mutual interests such as their love of sports and Florida. It was one of the best nights of their life and 2 days later Lauren went over to Dominic's house for dinner that Dominic made complete with homemade key lime pie, Lauren's favorite! After this, Lauren went out of town for a family vacation but thought of Dominic the whole time and they texted as much as they could while Lauren was out of town. After returning to Ohio, Lauren and Dominic went on their third date at Sports World, played a round of mini-golf, rode the go-carts, and that date really sealed the deal on how perfect of a match they were for each other. A few weeks later their relationship became official on July 21, 2023.

February 3, 2024 started out as an ordinary relaxing Saturday. Lauren was getting ready for dinner at the Chophouse that evening for what she thought was an early birthday dinner for Dominic's mom, little did she know what Dominic had planned for that evening. Dominic left his parent's house that evening to pick up Lauren, nearly forgetting the engagement ring in his safe. He picked up Lauren at her parent's house where her parents, sister, and sister's fiancé were hanging out acting like they knew nothing, Lauren later found out they knew what was coming that evening all along. Dominic and Lauren drove to the Chophouse a little early for dinner, Dominic was playing love songs the entire way there and Lauren did not even realize what was happening. When they arrived to the Chophouse, Dominic decided they should go walk on the golf course a little bit while they waited for his parents to arrive for dinner. They got out of the car and made it just to the edge of the golf course when Dominic could not hold it together anymore and started tearing up. He got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, asked Lauren to marry him and she said yes! It was a beautifully private moment between just the two of them celebrated later in the evening at Tippecanoe Country Club with Dominic and Lauren's families. It was one of the most magical nights of Dominic and Lauren's lives and one that they will never forget.
