We initially started chatting on a dating app, and officially met in person a few days later. I'm not sure if either of us expected much to come from that date, but before we knew it, it was 3AM and we were still hanging out, laughing, and enjoying one another's company while overlooking the city of Reno. We went on 6 or 7 consecutive dates following that night (we said our theme song was "I Should be Sleeping" by Emerson Drive after that week)! It was a quick start to our relationship, but we wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

One of our shared loves is hiking and exploring National Parks/Monuments together. We are slowly checking off different parks from our list, and it has been an adventure. We started by going to Lassen National Park where we had our first camping trip together (our dog helped scare away some deer that Lauren thought were bears). Our next trip was to Mammoth where we explored some hot springs, took in the views of Convict Lake, and hiked to Devils Postpile National Monument. Zion National Park was our next stop, and we got to hike Angel's Landing and the Narrows! We were then able to explore Lehman Caves in Great Basin National Park. We were able to camp near, and then hike around, Yosemite National Park, where we cooked breakfast in the parking lot and then saw Half Dome (from afar). Our most recent trip involved a 3900mile road trip through Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and the Grand Tetons. The views were breathtaking, and we remained engaged following 14 days of road tripping with 10 nights of tent-camping (which is a very good sign)!! We can't wait to explore even more in the future!

We are SO excited to get married! We cannot wait to celebrate our love with all of our family and friends on our special day. After our wedding, we plan on going to Iceland for our honeymoon (it has been a destination on both of our bucket lists)! Following our honeymoon, we will start looking into building a new house on our property! It will be a process, but it will be a fun one. We are excited to begin building our future home together!
