This is generally a dry, relaxing float, so focus on comfort and sun protection. There will be an opportunity to swim in the river if you’d like. We recommend wearing layers of quick-dry clothing, soft-soled shoes that can get wet, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light jacket for unpredictable mountain weather—you may get a small splash. The meeting point is the Stilson Parking Lot (Village Transit Center). Guests will be seated on the outside pontoons and cross tubes of the raft, while all navigation and propulsion are handled by a professional guide. We will enjoy a two-hour, 13-mile scenic float down the Snake River. Guides will share insights on local history and wildlife, with a stop on a scenic gravel bar for a fresh picnic lunch. Expect stunning views of the Teton Range, along with the Snake River, Gros Ventre, and Hoback ranges. Wildlife sightings are common—watch for moose, elk, deer, and bald eagles, which nest along this beautiful stretch of river.
