San Diego Zoo Safari Park
The San Diego Zoo and Safari Park is definitely a worthy stop! Not to be confused with the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park, this is one of the most engaging and interactive zoos out there.
Oceanside Municipal Pier
Home to Oceanside Ironman 70.3, this is a great stop down the 76 freeway! Not only are there excellent beaches, but there are also some really great spots to eat as well.
Torrey Pines State Beach
Excellent hiking, beaching, and golfing means you can find something here for everyone. Bonus: We got engaged on the Guy Fleming trail!
Viewpoint Brewing Company
This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants, and we have accidentally managed to make friends with their chef (ask us for the story!). The mac and cheese and adobada fries are to die for.
Board & Brew - Escondido
Top tier sandwiches, but the sauce puts it over the edge. Corey's favorite is the Chicken Club, and Lauren's favorite is the Grilled Cheese (with lots of sauce).
Finney's
A fun staple, with a great upstairs area! Their burgers and brussels are equally delicious and just a few blocks from the beach.
