We have done our best to come up with a plan to keep everyone safe during the wedding and wanted to provide you with information so that you can prepare: There will be 104 guests at the wedding. All are vaccinated except the kids (7) and 3 adults. We have spoken to the 3 adults and asked them to give ample space to all older adults as well as wear their mask except when eating or drinking. Everyone will be required to take a rapid antigen test to attend the wedding. These can be picked up at Walgreens, CVS, Target, and many other stores. They can also be performed at urgent care and several other places. Supplies may or may not be limited where you live. Please pick these up ASAP. Please take the test 15 mins - 1 hour before your first wedding event (Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony, etc.). The test takes 15 mins. If you are flying, please take the test AFTER you fly. If you have any symptoms at all, please skip the wedding. The best gift you can give us is to keep our loved ones safe.
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, which, as we are all aware, significantly decreases risk Please wear your mask as you feel comfortable when outdoors. The data suggests that high vaccination rates + everyone testing negative + outdoors = masks not required. Please do what makes you feel comfortable. The reception is technically indoors, however, all doors and windows (there are many) will be wide open and the space will be extremely well ventilated. We will also have several HEPA air filters going to increase safety. Please increase your use of a mask during the reception. If you are vaccinated, you can be more liberal but please be mindful of older adults and ask about the comfort level of people around you. Unvaccinated adults have been asked to keep their mask on when not eating or drinking and have not been seated near anyone with risk factors. Side note: Please also bring a jacket! It may be cold! We will have some blankets for you too!
Asilomar has asked that wedding guests not staying overnight park in Lots A, B, or C (see map). People staying overnight can check in and park near their room. Signs for check in and parking should be easy to see and follow.
The cocktail hour is about 5 steps away from the ceremony and the reception space is about 10 steps away from the cocktail hour.
Everything is ADA accessible except the ceremony area, where we can seat you a few steps off the path. The cocktail hour is flat and paved. The reception area is accessible by ramp. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Asilomar (they can provide golf carts!) or Lauren.
