Collin and I met in Montauk during the summer of 2017. I woke up incredibly hungover on a Sunday morning following a night out with Liz and Jackie. That morning, Jackie and Liz tried to drag me into town. As they were getting ready I immediately got fomo and decided to tag along. Jackie and Liz ran into old friends at one of the beach bars that day. The group turned out to be a bachelor party of guys from near our hometown... and a random guy in their group from Michigan named Collin. All sitting at a picnic table, I happen to sit next to Collin. Everyone joked about how we were going to get married within hours of meeting each other. Of course at the time, it was a joke. I don't know if it was the vodka lemonades and mango daquiri's...or the made up stories Collin and his friends were telling us, but there was an instant connection. We were inseparable for the first month of meeting. Unbeknownst to me, Collin has a job lined up in New Orleans. We decide to try long distance after 5 weeks of knowing each other. Crazy. The rest is history, from New York to New Orleans and back to New York where we currently reside, we wouldn't want it any other way <3.
