August 1st
Cocktail attire! Wear whatever you feel celebratory in: midi dresses, jumpsuits, vests and trousers, skirts, suits, a shirt and tie, etc. If you're stuck on what to wear, our general theme is garden party. And of course, no white!
You can see it by clicking on "schedule" at the top of the page!
August in Indiana tends to be hot and humid. On the wedding day we'll be moving between the greenhouse (air conditioned) and an outdoor patio facing the pond, so dress for hot August weather. Rain is a possibility; our venue is fully covered but be sure to bring an umbrella for getting to and from the venue if it looks rainy.
Yes, we've booked two blocks of rooms at different price points, you can check them out by clicking on "Hotels" at the top of the page or at this link: https://book.passkey.com/go/EhrmannHastWedding2026. The deadline to book with our hotel blocks is July 24th. (For anyone unfamiliar, a hotel block is a number of reserved rooms at a discounted rate for wedding guests.)
Yes, the venue has a parking lot. Cars can be left in the lot overnight and picked up when the venue opens the next day starting at 10am, so everyone can get home safely.
Yes! Wedding guests can share free Ubers to the ceremony by gathering at the concierge desk of the Marriott Downtown at a designated time. At the end of the night, free Ubers will be available back to the hotel or directly to the afterparty for those who are attending. We will provide details closer to the ceremony!
We recommend the Indianapolis International Airport. The other option is Chicago O'Hare, which is a 4 hour drive from Indianapolis. If you do choose to fly into Chicago, there are also a couple of shuttle services that will bring you from O'Hare to Indianapolis.
Renting a car is by far the easiest way to navigate Indianapolis. If you decide to go the carless route, downtown Indianapolis is walkable and has some public transit. You can fill in the gaps using rideshare apps like Lyft or Uber. We will provide transportation options to and from downtown Indianapolis for the ceremony.
If you have a plus one, they are specifically included when you RSVP! (If you think you should have a plus one but you don't see one, please reach out to Coleton or Lauren)
If your kiddos are invited, they are specifically included when you RSVP! We will have kid-friendly meals and high chairs available (you'll be able to opt in to this when you RSVP). A heads up for parents that most of the kids in our lives are older, so we're not planning on child-proofing our playlist for the dancing portion of the evening. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Coleton or Lauren.
We'll have gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and halal options for both appetizers and entrees! There will be alcohol-free mocktail options available at the bar. Please indicate your dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
Yes, you can see it by clicking on "Registry" at the top of the page!
We're asking for no physical gifts at the ceremony, although cards are welcome! Our ceremony is in Indiana but we live in New England, and shipping things back and forth is no fun. Anything you purchase from our registry will be sent directly to our apartment in Providence.
Of course! We just ask for no large gifts please: we will be living between small New England apartments and our research sites in North Africa and Taiwan for the next several years. If you'd like to ship something to us, reach out to either Coleton or Lauren for our address.
