We met at a mutual friends party in July 2017. To our surprise we knew each other from church but never officially met until that night. Our story didn't begin with "sparks flying" or "love at first sight" (at least not for Lauren). Our story began as friends. After almost a year, Cody's persistent and consistent pursuit paid off. We had no idea that the friendship we were creating was building the foundation of the most beautiful love story we could've ever imagined. Shortly after we started dating we both knew each other was "the one". Fast forward two and a half years, we got engaged on September 5, 2020 at Mount Palomar Winery in Temecula, Ca. It was the most beautiful day. I mean wine and a proposal? Throughout our relationship we've always loved wine tasting and frolicking through vineyards. We're suckers for fine wine and views of the vineyards so this proposal couldn't be anymore "us". A month after we got engaged, we found out we were expecting our greatest blessing and couldn't be any more excited to start our famiy. Now we can't wait to become Mr. & Mrs. Scoggins! We wouldn't be able to begin this next chapter in our story without our favorite people who have been a big part of our lives both as individuals and as a couple. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
