We first met on November 2nd, 2024, at a mutual friend's birthday party. After talking throughout the evening, I finally mustered up the courage to ask Lauren out to dinner. This became the first of 12 dates that we went on in a 14-day span before Lauren traveled to Arizona for a wedding. The complication was that before she returned to Texas, I had to pack up my things and move to Maryland. So after a wonderful first date, we spent every spare moment together while we still could. The night before we had to say goodbye, we decided to take a chance and make our relationship official. The future held many unknowns, but one thing we were sure of was that we had something special. After a little over a year of goodnight phone calls, FaceTime meal preps, and countless Southwest Rapid Rewards points, I asked Lauren to marry me on a snowy morning hike in Maryland! In her own words, “it was by far the easiest ‘yes’ she’s ever given.” April 11th, 2027, will be an extra special day because it marks the end of our 1,500-mile separation and the beginning of our married lives together under one roof. We can't wait to celebrate these huge milestones with you all! We couldn't have done it without the support of our friends and family. Thank you for being a part of our story.
