Many very good reasons and a few are: Lauren has always loved the venue and hoped to have her wedding there. Elmwood is a charming restoration of an 1855 barn and farmhouse set in the beautiful green valleys of western Maryland. The venue owners, Selena and Lettie Wilkes, restored the property and are the decendants of the first owners of the farm. They take such good care of the property and especially the guests. You will not be disappointed. Check out their website www.ElmwoodFarmBandB.com and their Facebook page. This location is centrally located between the Lathem family in the Newark area and the Downing family in the Pittsburgh area. Judy grew up in the small town and Steve moved there in his senior year of high school. We still have a lot of family and close friends in the area, including the owners of the venue and the caterer.
