Detroit People Mover

You will be given tokens to get to and from the hotel to the Detroit Opera house for the night of the wedding. This is the quickest and cheapest way to see the city. Going in one continuous loop, it’s impossible to get lost. Each ride costs $0.75 and tokens can be bought at each stop. Hours: Friday 6:30 AM - 2 AM (Saturday) Saturday 9 AM - 2 AM (Sunday) Sunday 12 PM - 12 AM Important stops: GRAND CIRCUS PARK— Opera House Stop GM RENAISSANCE CENTER— Hotel For more information, visit their website at thepeoplemover.com.

Parking at the Opera House

When coming to the Detroit Opera House for the Chambery/Alvarez Wedding, please park in the surface lot which is located at the corner of Madison Ave. and John R. at the back of the Detroit Opera House. The entrance to the Surface lot is located on Madison. Please tell the parking attendant you are here for the Chambery/Alvarez Wedding. Once in the Surface lot, please exit the lot via the Broadway Gate. This is the side of the building that faces the People Mover. Proceed down Broadway to the Ford Center for Learning Entrance. This Entrance is past the MOT Box Office and Theatre doors. If it is raining, proceed the Grand Lobby entrance.
