Lauren's version: Being new to ETSU, my first sight of Bryan was in the hallway where I took a quick glance at his outfit and kept walking. Our first real 1:1 was when I visited his office. Man of few words his “hey” response gave little away. Peeking around for a conversation starter I saw his NEP team photo. I figured he was just a big fan but no, Bryan humbly shares that he played- "that’s me in the middle, it’s a good recruiting tool”. Glazing over the topic, we moved on to talk about hiking spots. Soon after, I am running on the Tweetsie Trail and coming towards me is Bryan. With his oh too long hair and beard (mountain man vibes) I thought, “I’m going to ask that guy out.” So I did. We quickly realized we had a strong connection. Within three months, we knew we were meant for each other. Moving to Tennessee was scary but God had a plan for me to meet the love of my life. Bryan's version: First time we ever saw each other was in the hallway at work. I was dressed in professional attire (gym shorts, cutoff hoodie and my new balance dad shoes). We locked eyes and Lauren’s dilated. It was an instant attraction. Finally, one day, she came by my office and we talked about hiking and things to do. She saw my NEP team photo and asked if I was as fan and I told her no but that I used to play so after that she knew I had $... I had a chance! JK- she is no gold digger. A few days later I got a text from her (I already had her # saved). Mind you, she went through a work app. to get mine! When I saw her name pop up, I knew I had a for sure chance. I answered her about a nearby trail run to check out. The next day I am running and I see a beautiful woman running towards me that looked like Lauren. I wasn't certain, so I kept running. Got back to my truck and had a text from her. After that, we never stopped communicating. Since the first time we hung out, my love for her has grown everyday. I'm so lucky God put her here. She could have anyone and she picked me.
