FAQs

Question

What is the dress code for the Welcome Party?

Answer

For the gentlemen: Think nice pants or chinos paired with a button-down shirt. Blazers are welcome but entirely optional! For the ladies: A chic cocktail dress, sundress, or midi/maxi dress is perfect. The event will be on grass so block heels or sandals are recommended for comfort! Please note that the Welcome Party will be outdoors in the garden and lawn - depending on the weather we'd recommend a light sweater or shawl!

Question

What is the dress code for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception?

Answer

Reception: The dress code for our reception is Black-Tie Optional (e.g., tuxedos or dark suits for men; formal maxi-length dresses or elegant midi-length dresses for women). Church Ceremony: Because our church ceremony is at 1:30 PM below are options to consider: Option 1: You are more than welcome to wear your Black-Tie Optional attire to both the church and the reception. Option 2: If you prefer, you can wear a separate outfit to the church and use the break between the ceremony and the reception to change into your more formal wear.

Question

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

TO THE CHURCH CEREMONY: No, there will not be transportation provided to and from the wedding ceremony at St. Mary's. We recommend coordinating your ride ahead of time to avoid last-minute stress! For out-of-towners, we recommend renting a car for the weekend or carpooling. There is ample free parking at St. Mary's School, located across the street from the church. TO THE RECEPTION: Yes! We will be providing a shuttle service to and from the reception at Le Chateau departing from both Hotel Zero Degrees and Fountain Inn. If you prefer to drive yourself, there is ample free parking available on-site at Le Chateau. Saturday, September 12th Shuttles: Hotel Zero Degrees shuttle time: 4:45 PM Fountain Inn shuttle time: 5:00 PM West Lane Inn shuttle time: 5:10 PM Shuttles will be stationed at Le Chateau to take guests home at 10:30 PM at the end of the night to each of the hotels/Inn locations. FYI: If you are planning to use Uber/Lyft, we recommend reserving a ride ahead of time given Ridgefield is a small town with a low volume of drivers!

Question

What time should I plan to arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving 15 to 30 minutes before the ceremony scheduled start time. This ensures you can grab a seat and settle in before the ceremony starts promptly at 1:30 PM.
