Lauren and Brenden went on their first date at their local Starbucks. As they sipped their drinks, they were so enchanted by each other that time seemed to slip away unnoticed. Three hours passed in the blink of an eye.
Lauren, having left her phone in the car, was blissfully unaware that it had overheated and turned off. The Starbucks barista approached their table.
"Excuse me, are you Lauren? Your mom is on the phone."
Embarrassed, Lauren took the call. "You've been there for three hours!" her mom exclaimed, her voice a mix of worry and relief. Brenden was still charmed, and asked Lauren for a second date.

At the Scarborough Bluffs, Brenden knelt down on one knee and proposed to Lauren. In his excitement, he opened the ring box upside down, causing the ring to dangle dangerously above the sand. Lauren gasped, but Brenden quickly flipped the box, saving the moment. They both laughed, then cried, and amidst the waves and wind, Lauren said, "yes."
