Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden dazzles during the holidays with light displays throughout the garden. As you make your way along the lighted paths, passing ornate decorations, stay warm with hot chocolate and cider then stop at one of the on-site food trucks for a bite to eat. Light the knights @ Truist Field
Truist Field, home to the Charlotte Knights, transforms into a winter wonderland. Nearly every part of the stadium, from the concourse to the seats and baseball diamond, are decorated with colorful lights. Christmas at the library
Take a horse-drawn carriage ride around Billy Graham Library before making your way to the live nativity scene, complete with animals. Hear Christmas carolers each night then warm up with story time at Ruth’s Attic Bookstore and indulge in a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Gingerbread lane
Visit The Ballantyne Hotel to view an enchanting display of gingerbread creations from novice to professional bakers. Gingerbread Lane is open daily December 15th-28th from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (Closed Christmas Day). This is a free event.
Ice Skating @ Whitewater Center
The Whitewater Center’s ice rink consists of over 24,000 sq. ft. of unique skating space split into two ice trails and two free skate zones. An on-ice Airstream will serve hot and cold beverages to guests. New! Discover the Whitewater’s take on curling with Cask Curling. Enjoy a playful take on traditional curling. as you slide mini kegs across the ice to compete for points. Lane reservations are required and can be made in advance or on-site. Christmas at the Speedway
Speedway Christmas features more than five million lights on a four-mile course that includes the legendary oval, pit road and infield road course. The show is open 6-10 p.m. rain or shine and features synchronized lights-to-music on 101.3 FM plus drive-in movies on the gigantic Speedway TV every Thursday through Sunday night until Christmas. Zootastic Christmas!
Drive through over 4 million lights while listening to Christmas music, and when you're finished be sure to stop inside and meet Santa and his baby kangaroos!
