Travel Note
US citizens need a tourist visa (e visa) to visit India. The process can all be done online and approval is fairly speedy (within a few days). You can apply for a tourist visa 30 days before you travel.
Flight
To help with your travel planning, here's our advice on when to arrive and depart: Ideally, plan to land in Bangalore on Wednesday, February 19th 2025. This will give you two full days to explore Bangalore, pick up any last-minute wedding attire, and adjust to the time change before the festivities begin. The wedding kicks off with an evening event on Sat Feb 22nd, and a ceremony in the morning/afternoon on Sun Feb 23rd. The latest you should arrive is Friday, February 21st. We're thinking of having an informal get-together on Monday, February 24th for those who want to stay an extra day. You're welcome to join us! Please check out our guide to India. If you are on the West Coast Singapore and Emirates are really nice airlines but have layovers Air India might not be as nice a flight but it likely has direct flights to Bangalore If you are on the East Coast Check out Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar Airlines To see all options, Google Flights will be your best best for planning flights and to get a sense of what average prices will be for your trip to Bangalore before you decide to book.
Hotel
We will have specific instructions for how to book soon - no need to book hotel now. Via the RSVP we need to know your check in date, check out date, and number of desired rooms for your party. We'll communicate this to the hotel who will get in touch regarding booking.
