Austin and Lauren met through Purdue University Dance Marathon (PUDM) in the Fall of 2021, as they served on the leadership team together. Starting in the new year, Austin and Lauren got paired on the PUDM executive board as "accountability buddies". They were tasked with holding each other accountable for work they had to complete in their respective positions. However, this partnership turned into an unexpected love story. Austin and Lauren started talking as "buddies" in January of 2022, and simply never stopped! The best part about Austin and Lauren's love story is the way God has worked in both of their lives individually over the course of their dating relationship. God has made himself personally known to both Lauren and Austin, and they give all the glory to Him for the way they have grown spiritually over the last 2.5 years. Austin and Lauren hope that through their union, the abounding love of Jesus Christ will be shown to all. The couple agree that their sole purpose in getting married is to bring glory to God, not themselves. As God sent His only son to die on the cross for all mankind's sins, Austin and Lauren partake in this sacrifice as they commit to serving one another for the rest of their lives. Austin and Lauren sincerely hope that through their marriage, family and friends will be able to get a glimpse of Jesus's deep love and sacrifice for all.
