Pullen Park is about a 10-minute drive from downtown. The park features a central area with playgrounds, concessions, a family train ride around the park, and a carousel. There’s also a large lake where you can rent a paddle boat, and several paths weave throughout the park as well.
Videri is a small chocolate factory in downtown Raleigh that serves pastries, coffee, and freshly made chocolate. During the day, you can see each step of the chocolate-making process firsthand. If you visit when the factory is not in use, you can still see the equipment, look through the viewing windows, and, of course, grab some samples! Fun fact: Lauren’s 16th birthday party was held here!
