How should I RSVP?

When we send out your invitation, you'll find an RSVP option right here on our website. If you already know you won't be able to join us, please reach out to Lauren or Andy directly.

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes, please see the travel page on our website for details of our hotel block at Hotel Lincoln.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Chicago has so many hotel options in a bunch of different neighborhoods, so we couldn't choose just a few to recommend! For additional options, we also recommend exploring Airbnb and VRBO in the city. Look at our Things to Do page to get a sense of what areas you might be interested in staying close to if it is your first time in Chicago!

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire (i.e., cocktail dresses & suits or sport coats with dress pants). Spring colors and florals are encouraged!

Is the event indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, weather permitting, while the reception will be held indoors. Please dress in accordance with the outdoor conditions during the earlier part of the evening.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, we are happy to accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions. Please ensure you let us know in advance.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy drinks throughout the cocktail hour and reception. Wine will be served during dinner.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we will have a wedding registry. Once it gets closer, you will be able to find all the details on the Registry page of our website.

Can I buy a gift that is not on the registry?

Answer

We kindly request that guests adhere to the registry. We understand that sometimes the perfect registry item might not align with your budget or preferences, and for any such instances, we have created several cash funds that allow you to contribute in a meaningful way that supports our future together.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, children are welcome to attend our wedding celebration if they are named on your invitation (to follow). Please reach out after receiving your invitation if you think a mistake has been made in omitting a guest, but rest assured, Lauren doesn’t make mistakes. It is also worth noting that as the night progresses, the festivities will likely become less kid-friendly. Please plan accordingly!

Can I bring a plus one?

To ensure we can accommodate all our guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation (to follow) are included. Please reach out after receiving your invitation if you think a mistake has been made in omitting a guest, but rest assured, Lauren doesn’t make mistakes.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 5:30. Guests may begin arriving 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to get settled.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes, please see the schedule page on our website for the list of events. Additional details on events being held for the wedding party and those walking in the ceremony will be communicated directly added at a later date.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Public parking is available at Cafe Brauer, though we cannot assure that there will be open spots. As such, we recommend carpooling or using ridesharing services to ensure convenient arrival. For guests staying at Hotel Lincoln, complimentary transportation will be provided, and the venue is also within comfortable walking distance.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

No :) We are requesting that guests do not take photos or use any devices during the ceremony. We hired professional photographers, videographers, and content creators to capture every moment so all guests can (and should!) unplug and enjoy.
