Question

Los Angeles Fires Update

Answer

Hi Everyone, It’s a little less than a week out from the wedding and I’m sure many of you have already heard about the multiple fires in the Los Angeles area - we really appreciate that many of you have reached out to check on us, and we also wanted to clearly address how this will impact our day. Since the fires have started (and still now as we write this Saturday, Jan 11th) our home/venue as well as the accommodations we have recommended have remained fully outside of evacuation zones. Threat of fire in this area is low, water remains safe for use and power is active - the city of Pasadena currently is offering shelter for people and animals as well as a wide variety of resources to help our neighboring communities. The largest concerns we are currently facing is air quality which is continuing to fluctuate and likely will continue in the days to come. This is due to the fact the fires are ongoing and we are expecting another round of winds this upcoming Sunday and Tuesday, although neither are projected to be nearly as strong as the Santa Anas which began the fires. The Air Quality Index (AQI) uses a scale where the air quality is considered best between 0 to 50, with 51 to 100 as accepted but is known to affect some individuals more strongly than others. We strongly recommend masking when outdoors if AQI is 100 or more.

Answer

With this in mind, we are highly likely to be hosting the entire event indoors where air quality will be significantly better to quell any possible concerns among guests, vendors, and staff. We will also have masks available if you feel a need for one at any moment. For those also attending the brunch after the wedding, we are also likely to move to Castle Green as well to also address concerns. If your accommodation plans have changed or fallen through for any variety of reasons please reach out to us directly - we will do what we can to help newly situate you as needed. We know many of you are coming from out of town and we understand if you no longer feel comfortable attending. Your peace of mind means more to us than anything else, if you decide not to attend please let us know if possible before the day of. In the coming days if any conditions change drastically we will update here to let you all know. In the meantime if you are able please consider joining us in supporting our neighboring community of Altadena. Thank you, Lauren & Andrew

Question

Is parking available at the venue?

Answer

Castle Green unfortunately does not have parking - it is located within Pasadena's Old Town which has multiple public parking garages, outdoor parking lots, and street metered parking. A heads up that street parking is not allowed between 2-6AM in case you are trying to stay up late. Please visit the link below for more information about the parking options in the area: https://www.oldpasadena.org/visit/maps-and-parking/#MeteredParking

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

The building will be open starting at 4PM - we hope to start the ceremony promptly at 4:30PM.

For all the days along the way
