We are so excited to celebrate our love with you!

We were set up on a blind date by our friends! Although Alex's friend didn't know Lauren and Lauren's friend didn't know Alex, it turned out we were perfect for each other! You'll find our matchmaker, Dene, marrying us at the ceremony. Be sure to give her a high-five for the good work!!

With 5 kids between us, dating was tricky in the beginning but we were determined to get to know one another! We took thoughtful time introducing our families and, as such, Alex wasn't allowed inside the house the first few months. Always respecting my request, he would come over in the cloak of darkness after the girls went to bed and we would sit outside for hours over a bottle of wine on a pair of cheap, plastic Adirondack chairs. These nights became known as "porch dates" and they're how we fell in love. When we decided to join households, we couldn't let go of the chairs that held so many memories so they are now on our back porch. One night this August, Alex asked me to a porch date and, while sitting on those same chairs, he got down on one knee. Of all the questions Alex has asked me over our many porch dates, "Will you marry me?" was the easiest to answer!

We knew we wanted an intimate celebration surrounded by our favorite people and we wanted to share with you the community we've come to love. We hope you all fall in love with Lake Nona and enjoy all our favorite spots!
