It all started during the 2019 NBA Finals...Adam was having a few friends over to watch the game, including Emily (Lauren's twin sister) and Ben, Emily's husband. Emily and Ben invited Lauren to join them, thinking Lauren and Adam could be a good match. Lauren, having recently gone on yet another mediocre dating app date, thought to herself, "hey, nothing to lose!" Fast forward to halftime and Lauren and Adam were sitting next to each other on the couch chatting and laughing (and occasionally watching the game). When Lauren got home that night she had a text message from Adam asking her to get drinks that week. A few days later, Lauren and Adam went to a bar by Lauren's apartment, drank Moscow Mules and played way too many games of skee-ball to count (in which Lauren won every game... only to learn several months later that Adam made sure that happened :)). Adam's smooth moves worked and the rest was history...from dates at the Santa Monica Pier, Clipper's games and Marina Del Rey parks to trips to San Francisco, Hawaii and New York, Lauren and Adam knew that their connection was something special and everlasting.

When the world shut down for COVID-19 in March 2020, Lauren brought a weekender bag to Adam's condo in Marina Del Rey. Before long the weekender bag turned into a suitcase and then the suitcase turned into moving boxes. When Adam's condo started to feel small with both Lauren and Adam working from home, they started stalking Redfin and found the perfect house in West LA where they would bring home their puppy Bailey a few months later. A year and a half of work-from-home and quarantine later, with Lauren and Adam's families together on the beach in Malibu, Adam got down on one knee (with Bailey digging a hole nearby) and asked Lauren to marry him. Lauren barely let him get any words out and could only keep repeating "OMG, OMG is this happening?! OMG" quickly followed by an ecstatic "YES!!!" We are so excited to officially become a family and experience all that life has to offer together. We cannot wait to celebrate our love with all of our family and friends.
