where we met : at the gym (shoutout to planet fitness for that) To be honest, there is just so much to say about us and how we got to where we are today. there are so many beautiful memories that we want to share. so many stories that we believe contribute to who and where we are today! as much as we tried, making it short was not an easy task but here we go! Enjoy! His: It was a quiet Saturday morning when Thando decided to head to the gym. He wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary, just another workout to get through the weekend. But fate had other plans. As he was locked in, he saw this girl. the same girl he saw a few times during the week. the same girl that struck him, not just for her beauty or her presence, but also for the need he felt to talk to her. The first conversation was pretty odd, Laurena (Reena) had literally just finished a workout when Thando introduced himself. Laurena reciprocated with an introduction but she was out of breath. Thando Misspelled Reena's Name to Rina as he sent the first text. that little mistake that seemed to be a small detail at the time, was the spark that lit everything. that tiny mistake turned into Laughter and that laughter turned into something much deeper. That weekend marked the beginning of a love story that neither of them expected. And for Thando, finding someone who knew exactly what she wanted and where she was going with her life, was the moment that started and defined his forever with Laurena. Her: Laurena's story with Thando started before that day at the gym. it started when she decided to let go and let God. She had made a choice to let God lead her to the man that he had meant for her and as hard as it was, she promised herself not to rush it. That Saturday was a casual Saturday for her and Kafuma ( her Gym girlie) had bailed on her. as she was progressing with her workout, she felt someone towering over her. There stood Thando. she saw his lips move but she couldn't hear a word he said for the first 5 seconds of his introduction. there was something in her that made her feel comfortable talking to him. their conversation was short, but Good enough to let her give him her number. They chatted nonstop for the next 24hours and they agreed to go on a date and get to know each other a little more. their plan for the date was initially to go and have a picnic at the Parc but the weather was in disagreement. they amended their plans and went to play bowling followed by a dinner instead. the vibe was cozy, there was no awkward silence, there was no Ick on either side. At the end of their date, Thando dropped Laurena off. As they arrived, they were invested in a very deep talk sharing about their relationship with God and some of their personal testimonies. After finally deciding to end their 3 hour conversation, he had the chance to meet her little bubble, Ozzy her Siberian Husky. For the week to come, he took her on dates everyday and they became inseparable. Where Thando was, so was Laurena, and where Laurena was, there was a Thando. in him she found everything she prayed for, and more! An answered prayer? Definitely ! That's how two began a journey, and that journey will bring them to be united into one forever.
