We're getting married y'all!

Lauren and Patrick first met while trying to navigate the halls as freshman at Lamar High School. Crushes were had but dreams were dashed, as a kiss at a party was as far as L&P got during those 4 years. Both then went their separate ways after senior year, each attending UNT in Denton, TX without the other knowing. Mutual friends were made and a fifth "Super Senior" year of college had for each of the future Smiths. The funny thing was...neither knew how closely their lives had been intertwined, having never run into each other during this time. It wasn't until a Facebook group was created for their 10 Year High School Reunion, when they finally reconnected. A direct message led to a meet up as old friends, which quickly turned into a date. Sparks flew and they have been together ever since - without ever actually attending their reunion!

After a romantic dinner in downtown Fort Worth, Patrick took Lauren home to finish celebrating their two year anniversary. Upon arriving, he opened their door to reveal flowers, lit candles and Sam Cooke serenading "Nothing Can Change This Love" to the room. First taking her in his arms to slow dance, Patrick then got down on one knee to ask her to be his wife. Tears were shed and "are you sure" was said, as moments of shock took over. Lauren of course, happily accepted - with Olive, Jett, Tyson, Luna and Dude's approval of course!
