Things To Do

We're excited to share a few things to do around San Francisco, though narrowing this list down has been a challenge! With the groom from San Francisco and the bride from the Bay Area, we've got a lot of favorites to choose from. Consider this our curated "greatest hits" to help you explore and enjoy while you're here.

Crissy Field

San Francisco, CA 94129

Beautiful mix of a beach and park with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge! This place holds a lot of special memories for the bride and groom such as the Tenhoff's annual Thanksgiving "Bagels by the Bay", Penny's puppy kindergarten classes, and where we got engaged!

Fillmore Street

Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA

Our apartment in the city was walking distance from Fillmore Street so this will always hold a special place in our hearts. If you want to do window shopping and get lunch or dinner, this is the place to be!

Golden Gate Park

San Francisco, CA

If you need a space to take a nice walk or exercise outdoors, the Golden Gate Park is the best spot! Also walking distance so some great neighborhoods like Inner Sunset, Richmond, and Haight-Ashbury.

Chestnut Street

Chestnut Street, San Francisco, CA

Similar to Fillmore Street, this spot has some of the best shopping and food in the city! Even though its typically a bit more crowded than Fillmore, it is worth checking out!

West Portal

San Francisco, CA

Home to mother of the groom, this area is getting more and more popular by the day! With its amazing food options, walkability, and cute shops, no wonder West Portal is turning into the go-to area!

Mission District

San Francisco, CA

For the most authentic Mexican food and cutest shops, the Mission is the place to go!

North Beach

San Francisco, CA

Any restaurant you go to in this area will be good, we promise!

PIER 39

The Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94133

Pier 39 is a fun area for kids and adults! The bride and her family grew up going here every time they visited the city!

Ferry Building

San Francisco, CA 94105

Food hall with nice shops and with a pretty view of the bay!

Original Joe's

601 Union Street, San Francisco, CA 94133

We went here on our first date and its still our favorite restaurant in the city! Needless to say, we had a blast!

Arsicault Bakery

397 Arguello Boulevard, San Francisco, CA 94118

Best spot to get baked goods, especially the croissants. Fun fact, this is just down the street from the groom's first apartment in the city!

Underdogs Too

3600 Taraval Street, San Francisco, CA 94116

If you want to feel like you're in SoCal or in a beach town grabbing a bite to eat, hit up Underdogs at this location!

Scoma's Restaurant

1965 Al Scoma Way, San Francisco, CA 94133

If you're looking for great seafood, Scoma's is the spot! Fun fact, the bride and groom do not like seafood, however, we know many of the people in our lives love it!

Radhaus

2 Marina Boulevard, San Francisco, CA 94123

If you're craving German food and a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge, Radhaus is the restaurant!
