We first met in person at a concert (remember those!?) at the Bowery Ballroom in the fall of 2012. We had known each other for several months online as xltoots and lokipants on the website turntable.fm where we would play and share music in a chat room setting. There was a group of us from the NYC area so we all decided to meet up when we heard one of our favorite bands was playing. Victor and I hit it off immediately and from then on talked to each other almost every day. That fateful night also brought us some great friends.
We were on vacation in Cape Cod at Harding Beach and decided to take a walk. Less than a mile down the beach there is an old lighthouse. I've been coming here with my family since I was a little girl and it is one of my favorite spots. After we walked around for a bit Victor came up to me and said how much he's loved all the adventures we've been on together and that he wants to take the ultimate adventure together. Then he got down on one knee, pulled a ring from his bathing suit pocket (no wonder he didn't want to go swimming earlier..) and asked if I would marry him! And of course I said yes!
Since unfortunately so many of you couldn't attend our actual wedding ceremony, here is a link to view all of our wedding photos! Just copy and paste it into your browser: https://photos.weddingsbytwo.com/gallery/lauren-and-victor/home
