The year was 2013 in an apartment in the 4s on the campus of University of Hartford. I was Introduced as the girl from Southington and Torrey was the new lacrosse transfer from Cheshire. We bonded over being town rivals. Who knew two years later we’d meet up again at Rocking Horse Saloon in downtown Hartford. Torrey was doing the running man, I was into it and the rest is history.

When you get told the Martone’s are having a family photo shoot you should automatically assume something is up. As Torrey drove us to Elizabeth Park in West Hartford I honestly just thought we were going to take some family pictures and go out to lunch after. I was so excited for lunch that I even picked out what I wanted from the menu three days prior. Little did I know, Torrey and I happened to be the only family members at the park for pictures and as the camera went off, he got down on one knee, and I said yes to forever!
