It's Happening!

Miguel and I met in highschool and became best friends sophomore year! Our friendship eventually blossomed into love and the rest is history! We can NOT wait to get married and see everyone there!

I went to work the morning of the proposal as I normally do. Once finished, Miguel picked me up from work and planned on taking me to lunch at Dukes in Malibu. On the way there, Miguel played my favorite playlist that he made for me on our trip to New York. It was a mixture of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and others. I just love this playlist! Fun fact, it includes our first dance song! Once at the restaraunt, Miguel was pretty quiet. If you know Miguel, he's quite the talker, so I had just assumed he was hungry. Looking back, Miguel acted quite odd during lunch. Once we were done with lunch, we drove along the coast. We have gotten in the habit during the years of driving along PCH, finding a spot along the coast, parking, and drinking coffee and talking. It's our favorite thing to do. So, Miguel found a spot along the coast, parked, and we walked and found a place to sit down. Miguel said the sweetest things to me while on that spot and to my COMPLETE surprise, got down on one knee, and proposed. I lost it! I was in shock and cried and barely got "YES" out. Best day! Being engaged has been the absolute best! We are so excited to see everyone on our very special day!
