Coleman and I met through his mother, Mary. Mary was my teacher at Seminary Hill Elementary School between 4th and 6th grade. Her and I were catching up at Sydney and Billy's wedding party shortly after Christmas of 2015 when Mary mentioned I should meet her son. Two mimosas later, she took a (hideous) picture of me, sent it to Coleman, and a month later I met him for our first date at Margaritas in Manchester.

Coleman and I took a trip out west to explore some of the National Parks - Bryce Canyon, Zion Canyon, and The Grand Canyon. Our first stop was Bryce Canyon. On our first full day at Bryce, we got up early, had a big breakfast, and headed out to the park. About two hours into the hike, we ended up at "Wall Street", a rock formation inside the canyon. We were taking pictures when all of a sudden, Coleman got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was (and still is) the most breathtaking moment of my life!
