Back in 2020 Lauren was attending college at The Ohio State University and had been single for about a year and her friend Lily had convinced her to give a dating app a try (Thank you Lily). We were also in the middle of a Global Pandemic at the time, it was a crazy time so people weren't actually meeting the conventional way at the time. Not thinking anything would come of it Lauren decided to download Hinge, never knowing how much it would change her life. 1 week goes by and Lauren is on her way to class and suddenly receives a message from Brandon, very simple just saying "Hey Lauren, how are you?". Lauren curiously first looked at his full profile, what stood out to her the most and what she still remembers to this day was a section that said "My love language is : Quality time is most important to me, I can always get more money but I value the time I spend with somebody". That really spoke to Lauren and they continued talking for almost 2 months until Lauren came home on a break from school and they could meet ,FINALLY! Meeting Brandon in person and going on their first date had only solidified what Lauren already felt for him, she knew she found someone special and the rest is history. Lauren and Brandon could have never imagined that a dating app would not only bring them a best friend, but also the love of their life. Brandon brings Lauren so much joy, they both make each other laugh on a daily basis. Family and friends have never seen them happier. They have created so many wonderful memories in these last 2 years, went on great trips, also bought a house and made it a home. Brandon knows how much Lauren LOVES everything Christmas, so what better place to propose than Longwood Gardens at Christmas time? They had been going every year at Christmas time since they began dating. Lauren was under the impression that they were just going to Longwood and a nice dinner to celebrate their 2 year anniversary, not knowing that Brandon had this absolutely perfect proposal planned for at least a month! When they arrived that night Lauren was so distracted by the lights and the decorations she wasn't noticing that Brandon was really set on staying in this one area in particular, It began to confuse Lauren why he wanted to stay there and not continue walking around, she then decided to take the opportunity to get a picture, only to then turn around and see Brandon down on one knee asking the question she had been waiting for. After enthusiastically saying YES, she was shocked and overcome with emotion to see he had not only surprised her with both his and her parents, his sister flew home from school to be there, and her best friend Colleen was there as well!
