Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Lauren Cricchi and Joe Makhoul
We hope you are able to enjoy some of our favorite Richmond places and activities while you're here!

T Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge

T Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge, Richmond, VA

If you're looking to get outside, we recommend checking out Belle Isle, Brown's Island, and the Potterfield Bridge for gorgeous views of the city, fun/easy hiking trails, and a view of the James River. The Belle Isle loop is a couple of miles, depending on where you start; if you feel like doing a longer hike, check out the Buttermilk Trail!

Scott's Addition Historic District

Richmond, VA 23230

Scott's Addition is home to tons of fun breweries, bars, and restaurants - many of which are dog and baby friendly. Our personal favorites include Ardent Craft Ales (outdoor brewery), Brambly Park (winery, live music, lots of space to frolic), Wood & Iron (sports bar with tons of TVs and outdoor space), and Lucky AF (fantastic sushi).

Carytown

Richmond, VA 23221

Carytown is great for people watching, shopping, and brunch! Some of our favorite shops include Creme de la Creme, Traveling Chic Boutique, Mongrel, BitterSweet, and Glass Boat; great brunch/lunch spots include CanCan (French), Lolita's (Mexican), Mom's Siam (Thai), East Coast Provisions (seafood), The Daily (everything), BurgerBach (burgers, duh) and New York Deli (American/Tiki Bar)

The Fan / Museum District

We absolutely love strolling through the Fan and checking out the gorgeous homes - Monument Avenue and Hanover Avenue are our personal faves <3 Check out Strawberry Street for some cute shops; Robinson St. for lots of restaurants and our favorite bars (Uliveto, Curbside, and Helen's just to name a few), and Main St. for some other fun spots (Sticky Rice for late night; Jardin for classy wine day-drinking; Social52 and 3Monkey's for a throwback to the good old days). If you're looking for a hangover cure, look no further than Joe's Inn. We also love the VMFA and Science Museum for some indoor exploring!

Libby/Grove

Located less than a mile from CCV, the Libby/Grove area has some of our frequently visited faves for a quick bite to eat and/or a beer: Taste Unlimited, Stella's Market, Stuffy's, Jack Brown's, Continental, and Bar West are all great options! There is also some great shopping. Just around the corner on Patterson Avenue, you can check out The Grill for your sports bar needs, or Conejo for our favorite upscale Mexican!

Still Searching?

Other fun things to do/see around Richmond: Hollywood Cemetery, Libby Hill, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, The Park, Top Golf, the list goes on!
