Lots of different trail options, most with views of Boulder and campus. All of them are bit steep/challenging but worth it!
Walk around campus. Be sure to check out Folsum Field, Farrand Field, Norland Library (I studied hidden in the third floor stacks)
If you have limited time in Boulder, I definitely recommend hiking in Chautauqua. If you have more time or want to branch out to less crowded trails Mt. Sanitas via Lion's Lair is good, there are also lots of great hikes from NCAR. Free parking at NCAR
Drive up Canyon Blvd to Nederland. The drive is gorgeous. It winds through the canyon along Boulder Creek. You take this one road the whole way up. There are lots of options for hiking just outside Nederland ("Ned" as the locals call it). Rainbow lakes is a very pretty hike and not too steep. Highly recommend this hike! Indian Peaks Wilderness Permit A permit and/or parking reservation may be required for travel in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. The Buff: $$: A Boulder classic! Amazing brunch. Directly next door to the Boulder Marriott. Highly highly recommend! Moe's Broadway Bagels: $: I'm not much of a bagel person but this is one place I make an exception for. Bagels are super fresh and the bagel sandwiches are hearty. Snarf's Sandwiches: $: Snarf's burgers also good Half-Fast sandwiches: PLEASE BE CAREFUL if you get their "strong-tea", they are seriously strong, even for those adapted to altitude.
