Maid of Honor
My favorite memory of me and my sister is when I came to visit her on my spring break. We really wanted to walk around downtown Chicago even though it was early March so it was freezing, sort of raining and super windy. So as you can image we absolutely froze our butts off. Neither of us owned proper winter clothing either. However even though we were freezing we still had so much fun and we were laughing a bunch. It was really nice that we can make a bad situation still be really fun for the both of us. Once we got back to her car we sat in silence in the heat for easily 10 minutes trying to warm up because we were both so cold.

I remember it like it was yesterday. The sun was shining brightly as my brothers and I gathered to paint our oldest brother Walley's kitchen. It was a labor of love, a task we had taken upon ourselves to spruce up his living space. Little did we know that this day would be filled with laughter and a memory that would never be forgotten. As we painted the walls, conversation filled the air. Walley and Brad discussed Brad's girlfriend's quiet nature when she visited. They wondered why she seemed hesitant to speak up. Meanwhile, TJ, perched on a ladder nearby, observed the conversation, waiting for the perfect moment to interject. And then, it happened. With a mischievous grin, TJ broke the silence with a remark that would forever be etched in our memories. "I don't know why she's so afraid to talk. What, does she think we'll shoot a dildo in her mouth if she tries to open it?" His voice carried across the room, catching us all off guard. The room exploded in laughter as TJ's words perfectly captured his unique sense of humor. This was just one example of the countless moments where TJ turned ordinary conversations into unforgettable experiences. Reflecting on this cherished memory, I realized that choosing just one favorite moment was impossible. TJ's humor is a constant source of joy and laughter in our lives. Each interaction with him reminds us of the power of laughter and the importance of finding humor in even the most mundane situations.

To start, this really wouldn’t be considered a memory because it’s ongoing, but it’s what I want to say…so we’ll just call it “The Thing I Love Most” … The thing about Laurel that I love the most is the EASE I feel when we are together. It’s very comfortable and fun to be around her. I never feel awkward, I never feel nervous or anxious to get away. My social battery is VERY limited. Not with Laurel. I love every joke and every laugh that follows, I love her bluntness, I love every situation our little group of 4 may find ourselves in, and most importantly, I just love her! Genuinely. The phrase “down to earth” was made for Laurel. She keeps it REAL. I am so honored to be a part of this wedding experience with her, she’s become one of my closest friends and I am RIDICULOUSLY excited! 💜
