Things To Do

We have lived in Salem for nearly 5 years, and can't wait for you to spend some time exploring the city that we love. If you have some time and want to explore, check out the recommendations below.
The House of the Seven Gables

The House of the Seven Gables

115 Derby Street, Salem, MA 01970
, (978) 744-0991

We have been here several times to enjoy the tour and lovely gardens. Fun fact, the Mother of the Bride currently works at the Gables, and Laurel spent two summers working there during graduate school.

If you're looking to do a ghost tour while in town, this is the one to do! We recommend that you purchase tickets 1-2 months in advance.

Peabody Essex Museum

The Peabody Essex Museum is one the highest rated museums in Massachusetts. It brings art, architecture, and culture together through it's many collections and rotating exhibits. No joke, you could easily spend the entire day here.

The Witch House at Salem

The Witch House is a must see if you want to get a glimpse into the daily life of a family living in Salem during the Witch Trials. Taken straight from their website, "Through examination of family life, architecture, and furniture of the seventeenth century, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the people involved in the Witch Trials". It is advised that you purchase tickets for the Witch House in advance.
