Their love story begins as most great love stories do...out drinking at a bar. Laurel had been out celebrating her roommate Nikki's birthday while Jo and his friends were celebrating their friend Alex's birthday. Who would have thought two separate birthday celebrations would turn into a wedding celebration almost 6 years later. Nikki and Laurel struck up a conversation with a group of guys from the table nearby. When she looked up from the table, she noticed a very angry looking man walking towards them. In that moment she thought to herself, "I'm either afraid of him or I'm attracted to him. I guess I'm about to find out." And the rest, as the kids say, is history. Two deployments and one cross-country move to the East Coast and back, and here they are...a Lego-loving Disney adult and a troublemaking German commando getting ready to tie the knot!
