In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we feel that it is best to give you an update on our plans. We plan to keep our date on November 7, 2020 In an abundance of caution, we have made the difficult decision to cut down our guest list to our family and wedding party. This was a very difficult decision for both of us as we would have loved to have you all there to celebrate this very special day. Instead, we invite you to watch the ceremony and special parts of the reception during a live stream event on Facebook beginning at 3pm EST. With your support and cooperation, we can still have the wedding of our dreams with everyone by our side. This is in the best interest of you, our friends and family, whom we wish to protect from this horrible illness. Thank you all for understanding and for supporting us this far in our journey. We wish you the best, and stay safe! Love, Jeremy and Laurel
It was a hot Saturday night in August and Marshall and I were performing at one of our favorite venues in Hilton Head, Ruby Lee's, when Marshall's girlfriend, Candace walked into the restaurant with a beautiful woman I had never seen before. During our first break of the night, I noticed she was sitting alone at the bar so I decided to go and introduce myself. We started talking about everything under the sun and didn't stop until Marshall signaled that we were about to begin the next set. I didn't know then that the woman I was speaking with would later become my bride. - Jeremy
Little did she know...a perfect sunny day (a little cold, but still beautiful) walking around downtown Savannah which has become a favorite thing for Jeremy to suggest as a slow Saturday adventure finding new things, having a cup of coffee, talking for hours, and getting to try new restaurants. We are wandering around the squares and I have lost a little bit of my sense of direction, and we end up at Orleans Square where we first professed our love to each other. It will always be a special place, but as we walked closer Jeremy started in "Do you remember the other day when we were telling our story to each other, well I would like to continue that story now...." We went over and sat down on the bench we sat once before, while people watching. At this point Jeremy is going to have to fill in the fine details because I was so over taken with emotion when he got down on one knee, that as soon as he said "will you marry me?" I kissed him and didn't let him finish! I eventually said yes after coming up for air! -Laurel
