We are getting married!

I noticed her picture on a dating app and figured that I had nothing to lose. I swiped right, she swiped right. We talked for weeks. The conversation just flowed. We had the same interests, passions, humor and goals. We met in person on a rainy Friday night at Muse Paintbar. I waited for her in the parking garage in my bright orange jacket. I was terrified. Once I started smiling, it didn’t stop. She was more beautiful in person and had me laughing the entire time. She absolutely wasn’t Bob Ross with her painting skills but we had so much fun. Once painting was over, we got dinner. Neither of us wanted to leave but the restaurant closed around us. The following morning we met for breakfast and shared our first kiss in my car as the rain poured down. I knew from the first day that I set eyes on her, that she was my person.

Dating when you have kids is hard! At this point in my life, I was honestly convinced that maybe it was just supposed to be my kids and I. Then came Laurel! The conversation just flowed from day 1 and when we finally decided to meet up in person I was a nervous wreck! That date led to lots more and eventually her meeting my children...from the moment she met my girls, that absolutely sealed the deal for me and I knew I would spend my forever with her! She keeps me grounded, makes me laugh, adores my kids, packs me the cutest lunches, and is an amazing person! I cannot wait to marry the love of my life :)
