What is the dress code?

Answer

Please dress in cocktail or formal attire. For gentleman, this means a suit and tie. Any classic suit color (black, grey, brown, tan, navy, or dark green) is great! For ladies, this can be a dress of any length, suit, or jumpsuit. In terms of color palette, we ask that our guests stick to neutrals, earth tones, and classic formalwear colors (basically anything other than very bright colors and loud patterns). *The ceremony will be on a grass lawn, so please keep that in mind when selecting your shoes. Ladies, consider bringing a jacket, shawl, or coat for the reception. For the welcome dinner the night before, we ask that guests dress smart casual or light cocktail. The restaurant is casual, but we will be dressing up a bit!

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony, and ask that our guests please refrain from using their phones or taking any photos or videos during the ceremony. We want everyone to be present and enjoy the moment, and our amazing photographer and videographer will take care of the rest.

Is there cell phone service in Big Sur?

Answer

Generally, no. There is some signal in a very small area of Big Sur, but for the most part there is no cell service in the area. However, our accommodations will all have Wifi. To make navigation as easy as possible, we highly recommend downloading the area's map ahead of time on your Google Maps app.

What services and ammennties are available in Big Sur?

Answer

Big Sur is a very small town with a few small general stores that sell groceries, limited pharmacy items, and basics. There are plenty of great food options in Big Sur, and each of your cabins is equipped with a kitchen. There is a gas station in Big Sur, but it is very expensive, so we recommend filling up your tank in Monterey or Carmel as you drive in. The nearest full grocery store or pharmacy is in Carmel.

Are there any other events/activities planned?

We would love for everyone to join us for dinner in Big Sur the night before the wedding, Tuesday June 11. We will share details closer to the day. We'd also love to show everyone our favorite spots in Big Sur, and maybe take a hike!
