Question

How do we get to the villa?

Answer

Mike, Kevin, and Ben will be driving everyone in rental cars from the Florence airport to the villa in Tuscany. Karen and Mike, Kevin and Liz, and Ben and Laurel will all be arriving a few days early to Florence to explore the city. They will have the rental cars ready when flights come in from the airport with the rest of the guests.

Amerigo Vespucci Airport Florence, Italy Please note: due to time changes and layovers, most flights arrive the day AFTER they depart. When looking for flights, you will be looking to depart on 5/4.

What time is check-in?

Answer

We will be checking into the villa around 5pm on 5/5. Not all guests need to be present at check-in. However, the airport is about 1 hr away from the villa. To minimize trips, we are asking all guests to be at the Florence airport and ready to leave by 4pm on 5/5. If flights are delayed or any issues occur, a portion of the group will head to the villa to check in while the others wait in Florence for the rest of the group.

We must check out of the villa before 10am on 5/9.

What are we doing about food?

Answer

For your convenience, breakfast and dinner each day will be catered. Dinner on the evening of arrival and breakfast the morning of departure will be provided as well. We will stop at the grocery store on the way to the villa to get food for lunches (likely sandwiches) and snacks. You are welcome to take a rental car to town for any meals if you would like.

What is there to do at the villa?

Answer

The villa has an outdoor pool and billiard room with a pool table. Many other activities are available at the villa and in nearby areas such as an olive oil making tour, wine and beer tasting, hiking, and horseback riding. If you would like to book one of these activities, contact Laurel by 1/31/26 so she can help coordinate with the host.

What will the weather be like while we are there?

The weather in Tuscany in May averages 77F during the day and 53F at night.

Do we need to get the couple a gift?

Answer

Your presence on our special day is all that we could want. Please do not feel obligated to get us a gift.

What should I wear for the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony attire is semi-formal/dressy casual. Dresses, dress pants, or skirts for women and dress pants with a dress shirt for men. The ceremony will be held outdoors on grass. Lightweight clothing and thick heels or flats are recommended.
