Question

Where are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. The ceremony will be outside on the grass (weather permitting), followed by the reception inside the museum.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1st.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal—suits and cocktail or floor-length gowns. The ceremony will be outside, on the grass, so people wearing dresses may want to consider a light sweater or shawl and block heels. Early October in Minnesota has a large range of likely temperatures, it could be anywhere from high 70s in the day to low 40s after sunset. Most importantly, we want you to wear what you feel good in! See this link for some inspiration, if helpful: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GafhVxZuHCH2gX0LvvUR8xMqg5DOzMfu/view?usp=sharing

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Weather in Minneapolis in October can sometimes be unpredictable. In the event of rain, the ceremony will take place inside one of the Minneapolis Institute of Art's beautiful galleries.

Question

Is transportation provided to the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We’ve arranged transportation for guests between the hotels and the venue. Hotel pick up will be promptly at 5 PM. Shuttles back to the hotels will begin at 9 PM and run on the hour through the end of the event.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! If you are planning to drive, there is plenty of parking in a covered lot across the street from the museum.

Question

Are there accommodations nearby?

Answer

We've reserved a block of rooms at Hilton Canopy, The Renaissance Hotel (The Depot), and Hotel Indigo. Please see the "Travel" page of the website for direct links to reserve a room in our block. Tansportation will be provided to and from all hotels. Brunch will be at the Hilton Canopy and welcome dinner is just two blocks from the Canopy at Day Block Brewing.

Question

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Absolutely! There will be a coursed dinner and open bar throughout the night. When you RSVP, you'll be asked to select your dinner preference. In the event that this influences your dinner preference, please note that for the safety of the art in the museum, only white wine and rosé are permitted with dinner.

Question

Can I bring a plus one or children?

Answer

Our wedding can only accommodate guests listed on the invitation. We love your little ones but have planned this day as an adult-focused celebration.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at 5:15. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes! You can see our full registry on the "registry" page of the website.
