No trip to San Antonio is complete without visiting the Alamo! Read up on some Texas history and walk around our most famous mission. Right across the street is an entrance to the famous River Walk! There are a lot of great restaurants, bars, and tourist shops to browse. Hop on a River Walk boat tour to hear more of San Antonio's history. This is a great way to keep cool in the Texas heat.
One of our favorite places in the city is The Pearl. There are so many great restaurants, bars, and shops to check out all within walking distance. Down On Grayson is Laurel's favorite restaurant in the city. The block lights up at night with locals and tourists alike. If you find yourself out past 5:30pm check out the underground jazz club, Jazz TX.
The largest Mexican market in the United States. The indoor/outdoor market is lined with specialty shops and the "farmers market plaza." If you're not from Texas, then trying Tex Mex is a must while in town from the long standing restaurants Mi Tierra and La Margarita. Enjoy the bakery located in Mi Tierra.
There is wine country in Texas! Check out some wine tours where busses will pick you up and bring you to different wineries in the Texas Hill Country. Groupon always offers discounted tours.
