Although they lived just 1.5 miles away from each other for years, Mikey and Laura met on a dating app called Hinge. Laura was Mikey’s first (and only) date from the app! They met the next day at a neighborhood bar called The Basin. Mikey did all the talking and Laura sat quietly and listened to his life story. While in the bathroom, Laura texted her best friend “I love him.” Mikey’s sincerity and vibrant personality had charmed her. Since that night, the two have been inseparable. Mikey still says he is Hinge’s #1 fan!

Mikey proposed to Laura on Buck Island in St Croix. After, they snorkeled with tropical fish and then enjoyed rum punch on their boat ride back to the mainland!

Mikey and Laura are getting married at St. Patrick’s Church in New Orleans, LA. This church is special to the couple because Laura’s fourth great grandfather, James Dakin, was the architect who designed the beautiful gothic-style church in the 1830’s.
