We met back in 2017 through our Portuguese community—Kevin played in the Livingston Band, and Laura was part of the Azores Band of Escalon. Introduced by mutual friends and family, we connected right away and found ourselves talking more and more. In the early hours of December 31, 2017, at 3:00 a.m. after a few hours of midnight bowling, we officially started dating. Our relationship began long-distance while Laura was in Costa Rica, which meant lots of late-night FaceTime calls and counting down the days until we could be in the same place. That summer, we finally got to spend real time together and made the most of every second. During those early days, we loved going bowling, hanging out with our families, and exploring new places—things that naturally grew into our shared love of traveling together. Even when Laura was away at school in Southern California, we made it work with weekend visits, road trips, and long drives just to be together. Over the years, we’ve visited eight states and five countries together, always finding new adventures side by side. And on November 16, 2024, we got engaged in beautiful Lake Tahoe—one of the happiest, most meaningful days of our lives. From meeting at 19 to getting married just weeks before turning 29, we’ve grown up together, supported each other through everything, and created a life filled with love, laughter, and so many memories. We can’t wait for what comes next.
