we're getting married!

We first met in the second grade when Laura’s school closed and she started at St. Margaret’s Regional School. We didn’t have classes together right away, but by middle school we became good friends. Life took us on separate paths. We went to different high schools and different colleges, yet our lives continued to intersect in small ways. In fact, Laura’s college roommate dated (and is now marrying!) Jake’s college roommate, a reminder of how our worlds had always been connected. Eventually, everything fell into place at the right time. Laura was spending time with friends from grade school when one of them invited Jake to join a bowling night. The conversation between us flowed effortlessly from the very beginning. Afterward, Laura sent Jake a message, and he invited her to a Flyers game. Our first date lasted six hours, filled with driving and an overtime game, yet not a single moment was dull. From that night on, we spent more time together. We played pickleball, went to more Flyers games, and enjoyed quiet evenings at Jake’s apartment. About a month later, Jake asked Laura to be his girlfriend, beginning a new chapter in a story that had started so long ago.
