Vendors will be wearing masks and the entire ceremony and reception will be outdoors to minimize risk. Guests may wear masks at their own discretion, but we will not require them. We love your kids and would love to see them in Asheville! The wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only. We recommend the sitting service, Munchkin Minders, for all your little ones. They have a lot of experience with sitting services for out-of-towners. Contact them on their website (https://www.munchkinminders.com/) or reach out to the owner, Danielle Podlesny, with any questions. Email: dpmunchkinminders@gmail.com Cell:760-494-8764 She would be happy to speak with you regarding COVID protocols, pricing, etc. https://www.munchkinminders.com/rates/rates-for-visiting-families/
We highly recommend taking Uber or Lyft to Haiku. From downtown Asheville, it's only a 10-minute drive. There is parking at the venue and you can leave your car until noon on Sunday.
So glad you asked! Both the invitation and RSVP will be electronic. You will not receive an invite in the mail. If you already know your plans, feel free to RSVP at any time (click on "RSVP" on the menu at the top of the page) to help us plan. We ask that everyone RSVP by June 15th at the latest.
The ceremony will be captured by our photographer and videographer. We ask that you refrain from cell phone use until after the ceremony concludes. Any other time during the reception - Yes, pictures and videos of the special day are welcome and encouraged! Be sure to use the wedding hashtag #Born2beShifmates
The ceremony, cocktails, dinner and dancing will be outdoors. There is a tented option for rain.
Cocktail hour and dinner will have a variety of food options for everyone! That being said, it's very helpful if you let us know any dietary restrictions or allergies as soon as possible.
We encourage guests to arrive by Thursday, July 22nd. This will allow you enough time to rest, relax, and enjoy the many sites and activities available in Asheville. If you do arrive early, we've planned some fun group activities! Most guests will depart on Sunday, July 25th, or Monday, July 26th. If you are staying Sunday, we'll be planning a post-wedding tubing adventure down the French Broad River!
We will soon! Click on "Travel" on the menu above for hotel block options. If you have any questions about booking a hotel please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to help!
In short - no, cocktail attire is encouraged. This is a celebration! We encourage folks to don the most festive attire that they can dance in!
