FAQs

Question

Do I need a passport to travel to Dominican Republic?

Answer

Yes, so make sure its up to date!

Question

Is this area safe to travel to?

Answer

Yes, but like in any other place you travel to, you always must be aware of your surroundings. Overall, the area where we will be is very safe. There are a lot of tourists and security is a top priority for Punta Cana. Dreams Flora has two gates of security prior to checking in!

Question

Why did you choose this place?

Answer

It was a tough decision as we kept in mind people who have never traveled outside of the country, do not travel, or prefer to drive instead. We chose Dominican Republic because it offers us a place to have family and close friends all in one place. No need for different Airbnb's or hotels. No Ubers or carpooling. No running late. At Dreams Flora, you will arrive and drop all your belongings at your room (well, they do it for you!) and you can head straight to the bar/beach/pool/gym/waterpark/restaurant. Best of all, you will not need to carry any documents or money, PLUS we are all in the same place!

Question

Are we allowed to bring kids?

Answer

Sadly, for all of our celebrations, kids will not be allowed. Now the resort is kid friendly, so it is up to you to bring your little ones, but you will have to bring somebody to watch over them while we celebrate.

Question

I would love to go, but this is a bit expensive for us.....

Answer

We understand this will be more costly as you also have to book your own airplane ticket, but remember that the price for the room will include your room, food, drinks. Now for some even better news, you will be able to make monthly payments towards the price of the hotel which gives you flexibility to pay in full by August 2025.

Question

The room I want to book is no longer available, what now?

Answer

You are able to contact our travel agent, Deanna, from our link of the room block. She will assist with any room you'd prefer to have if it's available!

Question

Are you getting married at the beach??

Answer

Sounds like the answer should be YES, but we are not! Dominican Republic is an island, which means weather can be unpredictable, and we don't want people to deal with the sand while looking your best. The ceremony will be held on the grass lawn, and reception will be covered in a private gazebo.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding day?

Answer

Beach Formal: Suggest light, breezy fabrics like linen. Short-sleeved button downs are allowed, dresses at knee-length minimum. Overall tone remains polished yet laid-back to suit the stunning Caribbean atmosphere. No shorts, t-shirts, or flip flops (sandals are okay for women).

Question

Can we stay longer than 3 days since we traveled far to get here?

Answer

YES. The minimum is a 3 night stay, but we have a 5 night block (Jan 8-Jan 13 2026) if you want to stay longer! If you prefer to stay longer than 5 days, the rate will be outside of the room block rate but our travel agent, Deanna, will be happy to work with you.

Question

Will there be open bar?

Answer

All day.... every singe day.... 24 hours a day!!!
