Question

Will there be a shuttle / bus provided from the hotels to the venue?

Answer

Guests staying at the downtown Marriott are encouraged to take a quick stroll down the street to the wedding but see below for parking options if needed. For guests staying at the Courtyard just outside of town, a shuttle will be provided to and from the venue. The shuttle will depart the hotel at 3:30 pm. The return shuttle will depart Excelsior at 9:30 pm and immediately following the reception at 10:00 pm. Those who choose to remain in town to continue celebrating with us after the reception (which we hope you do!) will need to call a ride or arrange for a designated driver.

Where are the Ceremony and Reception Taking Place?

Answer

Both the Ceremony and Reception are taking place at Excelsior in Downtown Lancaster, PA at 125 East King Street. Once the Ceremony concludes the party will start at cocktail hour downstairs, followed by dinner and reception.

Will this be an outdoor event?

Answer

The Ceremony will be held outdoors on Excelsior's open-air patio/terrace (weather permitting). Cocktail hour will be hosted at the outdoor courtyard (weather permitting) as well as the indoor catacombs. Dinner and dancing will take place indoors.

What should I wear?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is formal attire. Men should wear a suit or sports coat and slacks. Women should wear a jumpsuit, formal pantsuit, dress (full, midi, or tea length), etc. Be bold, have fun with it!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of 4:00pm to allow for everyone to get seated and settled.

Where should I park for the wedding? Is it free?

Answer

Parking is available across the street at the East King Street Garage (150 E King St, Lancaster, PA). Parking is $10. Limited parking is also available on the street for $2.50/hour. If staying at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square, we advise you to park in the Penn Square Garage as this has an entrance to the hotel. While we love your little ones, we respectfully request that they stay at home for the night so that you can celebrate with us.

Do I have a plus one?

Answer

All invited guests will be listed on the envelope of your formal wedding invitation and will appear on the RSVP page of the website when you submit your response.

Is there a hotel block / when should I book by?

Answer

Hotel blocks with reduced rates have been reserved at two hotels, the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square and Courtyard by Marriott Lancaster. For booking at the Courtyard by Marriot, reservations should be made by 8/23/2023. ***Unfortunately the block for the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square is now full and there are no more rooms available at a discounted rate.
