It began with a fork

Aron and Laura had crossed paths a few times throughout college thanks to each others roommates, dear friends of theirs who dated long distance between TCNJ and Ramapo and invited their roomies along to their holiday gatherings over the years. Aron and Laura didn't pay much attention to each other for the first couple of gatherings. Though it is surprising that the halloween costumes, Aron one half of a DNA base pair drawn on a T-shirt and Laura a tourist clad in socks and sandals, did not light the spark. Hm. Fast forward a couple years to November where the same college crew gathered at Laura's for a Friendsgiving. Being as it was one of Laura's first hosted gatherings, she was a bit frazzled. Aron sensing the damsel in mashed potato distress, jumped in to help. He was her knight in shining armor, oven mitts at the ready, juggling drumsticks, and keeping the house from going up in flames. But sadly Aron was taken. Fast forward again to September 2015 at those same college friends' wedding. It was such a beautiful day and an even lovelier celebration. We were all dancing the night away when a slow song came on, cueing the single folks to flee the dance floor like roaches in the light. Laura was just settling in for a bite of salad when Aron swooped in, plucked the fork from her hand, and asked her to dance. Uh, HECK YEAH. We'll never know how the salad was but we don't mind, because we've been dancing through life ever since.
