Why did you book a wedding the day of the HLSR parade?

What will be the driving situation be due to the parade?

Answer

Based on talking to the hotel, expect the area around the hotel and venue to not be drivable starting around 9-9:30AM and ending around 1-1:30PM. You can find a map of the parade closures on the HLSR website. If you do want or need to leave the hotel during the parade, we suggest one of the following: 1. Regency Garage (611 Clay St, Houston, TX 77002) - This garage shares an elevated walkway with the hotel. The entrance to the garage is on Clay and exit on Polk. While you may be able to get in and out during the parade, it is likely that there will be a good amount of traffic during the parade. 2. 1100 Smith Garage (1100 Smith St, Houston, TX 77002) - This garage is about 2 blocks from the Hyatt Regency. The entrance to the garage is on Smith and exit is on Brazos. This garage may be difficult to get into during the parade unless police are directing traffic nicely - which we have been told they are relatively accommodating during the parade. 3. Uber/Lyft!!!!! 4. There are other public parking garages around downtown Houston but they are a little further of a walk away.

Is there a ceremony?

We are hosting a smaller family based ceremony on Saturday prior to the reception. Your invitations and online RSVP will indicate which event(s) you are invited to. We look forward to celebrating with you at any and all you can attend!

May I bring a guest?

Answer

Your invitation and your online RSVP will indicate if we have accounted for a guest or significant other to attend with you. Thank you for understanding our strict guest count for the event!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your kiddos, the reception is limited to those who have been invited and are 16 years and older.

Will there be dinner at the reception?

Answer

We will have plenty of appetizers and small plates at the event for you to fill up on, but there will not be a sit down meal.

What is the timeline of the reception?

Answer

We will be welcoming guests starting at 6pm. The party will begin with mingling and common, traditional wedding reception moments. After we are able to celebrate these moments, the party will really kick off!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The rodeo brunch will be "yeehaw" attire. The ceremony will be "Sunday best" attire. The reception will be "cocktail" attire. All events will have time for a rooftop patio. If you wish to enjoy it, please remember to bring your coat!

How can I get there?

Answer

1415 Louisiana is in the heart of downtown Houston. Rideshares are extremely accessible in the area. Garage parking is available in the Wedge Tower Garage (777 Clay St, Houston, TX 77002) and will be validated by the venue.

I'm from out of town. Where should I stay?
