Two friends set out for an evening in downtown Danville. Alongside Jenna, one of her best friends since college, and in search for their next stop, the girls ended up at a wine bar. Two seats down sat a seriously handsome man named Warren. Laura took it upon herself to start up a polite conversation with this hunky guy. After more drinks and a few laughs, Jenna and a very drunk Laura exit the bar, but not before inviting Warren to the next stop down the street. The rest is a bit blurry to Laura... but Warren tells the story that Laura offered up someone else's business card as a way of getting in contact. There to save the day, Jenna jumped in and shared her information instead. Hey Jenna, if we haven’t thanked you lately- we appreciate you for doing this! After a few days of texting and many rounds of game pigeon, Warren decides to give Laura another shot at friendship. They meet back in downtown Danville for dinner and conversion. 7+ hours later of stories and laughs, they were the only two left in the restaurant.... It appears that the friendly hangout turned into something more. A last first date. Exactly 3 years later- 10/9/21- we’ll celebrate the anniversary of our last first date by tying the knot in front of our family and friends. We cannot wait to share this day with you!

Fast forward, a once “no children ever” Laura cannot imagine her life without Joshua and Emily. Warren once believed he would never seriously date a woman without kids, but somehow the romance continued... Next up, 2020... The couple was forced to spend A LOT of one on one time together. Turns out, that worked fine too. Between March and May, Warren converts Laura into a CrossFit and Game of Thrones addict. Warren finally warms up to the idea of having the golden retrievers shedding in his house. They take multiple trips out to Utah to visit Josh and Emily. Both quickly realize they have no business living in California and agree its time to make a change... House purchased and moving arrangements in place, Warren takes Laura up to visit her folks one last time before moving. To Laura’s surprise, Josh, Emily, her parents and Grandma are there waiting in the backyard. Laura turns around to Warren down on one knee... One year later, we can honestly say that everyone is happier in Utah. Except Sadie the german shepherd. She hates sharing her house with the goldens. A glimpse into the life of the Goodell family: -Find us at CrossFit OUR 6x a week -Warren is in the best shape of his life, qualifying for the CrossFit quarter finals and fittest in Utah -Emily is heading into 7th Grade, playing volleyball with Club GSL as the middle blocker (she’s taller than Laura) -Joshua is starting HS at Herriman High (10th Grade) and joined the mountain biking club -Laura is feeling ancient being called stepmom, but loves being involved in all activities involving the kids -The gold squad is living their best life with Laura working 100% remote and a roomba to clean the floors -Warren has mastered the art of cooking a filet mignon to a perfect medium rare temp -Laura has mastered the art of eating of Warren’s delicious home cooked meals without ever having cook anything herself, she is still puzzled as to how she ended up in this fairytale life Thanks for reading our story!
